The musings of the director of Truth and Peace as we head to the final few weeks.

By the way, pins are pins, and pens are pens, and while you need both, they are not interchangeable unless you get a pin that is also a pen, and that would be cool.

I am tired. The team is tired. Since we last posted, we have performed Redeemer 6 times in three services, and outside the church at the street market. We have watched soccer, played soccer with the youth group, traveled 7 hours north to Rivera on the border with Brazil, helped the church work on a widow lady's house, shopped with the youth group from Rivera, had a two hour service where 5 team members shared their testimonies in Spanish. Then we came home today (Wed) six more hours, and celebrated Rebekah's 17th birthday! Along the way we have seen Goucho's (Cowboys), sheep, a horse wondering the streets, and many other memories. Tomorrow we go downtown Montevideo, and board the plane after saying goodbye to the Lancasters and the Acevedos. Then it is Miami at 5 am on Friday, and then Memphis, then home with a stop at Chick-Fil-A! See you soon!

Today we went to a very ritzy section of Uruguay called Punta del Este, which is the eastern point of Uruguay where the Atlantic starts. The coast is beautiful, and since it is coming into winter, there were few people here. Tomorrow we start working at a neighborhood school near our church in Malvin. We are excited to partner with the church to help a school with some painting and other things that we can do.

Today is just a quick video of some of the leaving, arriving, and of sitting in the Miami airport forever. This also proves to some parents that we made it, and that we are all fine!
